In Hillingdon, we value working in partnership and try hard to support our headteachers:

In addition to our usual induction arrangements, each new headteacher receives an induction pack together with a ring file of useful documents.
We put on a Head and Deputy Partnership weekend, which is particularly for schools with either a new head or a new deputy but some come year after year!
There is also a Senior Management Team weekend, but not necessarily for new people.
All Heads are offered a mentor from Heads who have completed a 6 day coaching course.
